The Life of Lou is told as an anthology of short stories that follow his career and culminate with the last great feat he achieved.

Each chapter is thematically tied to a central value that Lou embodied, and which contrasts with the state of rural health today.

These chapters which collectively make up the feature are designed to be modular, able to be pulled apart into short form content that can be distributed across various online platforms, both as a marketing strategy and as valued entertainment within its own right. We want this story to be seen, and we’re not picky about how!

Looking at popular Tik Tok and Youtube accounts, we can discover a style that feeds the growing appetite for historical stories, in an easily consumable format.

The connective tissues between these stories are: Lou’s life told by his own children and a distinct animated medical illustration that serves to recreate the exact procedures at the centre of each detailed anecdote.

The story that emerges through the collection of interviews ultimately culminates in hearing Lou’s own voice through rare, precious tapes of an interview with the man himself just two years before his death, as he speaks about his work, summarising his personal ethics, drive and purpose.
